ME AND DESIGN: Poster War .. Day1

We were making posters for the past few days,inspite of the hectic course schedule.Playing with colors ( mostly White, as it was our team color ), staying awake late nights or may be early mornings ( …umm 4:am .. whatever you call it ).We had to put 20 posters minimum to qualify. We had made huge posters( encompassing 12 imperial size sheets ) and small imperial size posters which are easy to put.

The event had to start at 00:00 hrs,midnight of 8th August,2009.As we had to aquire place for putting our posters,we lined up from 11:pm itself. The event had to take place in NID,Paldi Mess.It has a staircase leading to it.That day it was all stuffed with people.Everybody was filled with enthusiasm.All were hailing in support of their teams.It was drizzling a bit but the atmosphere was more moist due to the sweating team members. There was a lot of pushing, screaming, finding ways to make through the mass and reach forward.It was a nightmare for the staircase which was bearing the weight of so many students.

When the door opened, everybody RUSHED in. All the walls were occupied within a second. Ladders, stools, chairs, tables, whatever we could find in vicinity was used for facilitating our act of putting up posters. We did not realize when we finished with all our posters , which counted to 32. HURRAY ! We knew we were comfortably in. Then it was the time for celebration. We were screaming like anything. It seemed as if insanity had struck all of us. All of us were soaked in sweat.We were dancing, shouting , enjoying !

It was a moment which came and went ! All will always remain in memories for the rest of my life.We were all excited… too excited.
